Remote Sensing Seminar at Compass Informatics on 19 February 2013


Compass Informatics are pleased to announce a Remote Sensing Seminar to be held on 19 February, 2 – 4 pm, at their offices in Blackrock, Co. Dublin.

Compass are licensed to provide Astrium GEO-Information Services imagery products from the SPOT satellites (including SPOT DEM Precision and Reference3D), PLEIADES, FORMOSAT-2 (from the National Space Organisation in Taiwan), TerraSAR-X, and DEIMOS-1.

  • Compass’ Business Development Manager, Andy Day, will open the seminar and introduce the guest speakers.
  • Stéphanie Le Grande, Astrium GEO-Information Services

Stéphanie is a member of the Geo-information services team at Astrium EADS and will give an update on the latest in high resolution optical, radar and elevation data and services available from the Astrium team.   •  Kevin Lydon, Irish Land Cover Group

Kevin will give an update on the progress towards a national high resolution landcover dataset based on OSi’s new spatial boundary database – Prime2. To find out more see the Environmental Protection Agency web site at
