Compass Informatics provides expert services and solutions in three interlinked areas: Information Management :: GeoSpatial Technologies (GIS, GPS, Remote Sensing) :: Planning & Environmental Services.

We provide a suite of integrated spatial & information management services that seek to assist organisations in making appropriate management decisions in an efficient manner. Users of our solutions are supported in their activities by comprehensive and user-friendly information delivered using the Web or other accessible means. Such solutions are based on solid data capture and data management methods, which in themselves reduce risk of data loss or quality reduction, along with a collaborative approach to all projects.

National Biodiversity Data CentreUnder contract to the Heritage Council, Ireland, we operate the National Biodiversity Data Centre – the national biological records centre for Ireland that delivers services to planning, research and policy. The Centre also participates in the Global Biodiversity Information Facility.

We are corporate members of the Irish Association for Geographic Information and the UK Association for Geographic Information along with certain staff having individual memberships of a range of organisations including software and technology groups, the International Institute of Business Analysis, International Assocation for Landscape Ecology, Irish Institution of Surveyors, Birdwatch Ireland, among others.
